5 Tips to Grow Your Brows, Naturally!
Long gone are the days when pencil thin shaped eyebrows are in; now thanks to the likes of Cara Delevingne, thicker eyebrows are back on trend.
One can’t deny that perfectly shaped eyebrows enhance and highlight one’s face. This is because eyebrows are the most noticeable parts of your face. The thicker they are, the more prominent your features will be. But of course not all of us are blessed with natural thick brows.
Though there isn’t a magic tip for you to grow thicker eyebrows overnight, here are a few natural remedies that you might have at home to help you on a journey to thicker and fuller brows!
1. Coconut oil
You might have been using coconut oil all these while for silky and luscious hair. But you’d be surprise to know that it also helps to enhance the growth of your eyebrow hair too! This is because the nutrients found in coconut oil promote healthy and thick eyebrows. Apply warm coconut oil on your eyebrows everyday (or a few times a week), massage gently to improve blood circulation and leave overnight for noticeable results. In the morning, just rinse it off with warm water.
2. Aloe vera
Aloe vera contains a compound that promotes hair growth. It’s also non-sticky and therefore can be applied several times in a day. Aloe vera is perfect for those with excess sebum as it removes oil from pores, thus encouraging hair growth for permanently thick and voluminous brows. Massage fresh aloe vera gel into your eyebrows until absorbed. Store the rest in your refrigerator.
Milk is not only good for the body, but good for the brows as well! It contains components such as casein and whey that trigger and stimulate the growth of hair. Soak a cotton ball in milk and gently massage your eyebrows. Keep it on for 15 minutes and wash with water. Doing this on daily basis will give you the desired results.
4. Onion juice
Onion juice contains components that aids in faster and denser growth of eyebrow hair. But we know most you wouldn’t wanna walk around with an onion juice scented face. So once you’ve applied onion juice and leave on for 15 minutes on your eyebrows, you can use lemon juice to wipe off all traces of the pungent smell from your eyebrows.
5. Egg yolks
If you don’t already know this, egg is a great source of protein. It’s also rich in biotin, which helps your brows to grow. All you need to do is separate the whites from the yolk. Beat it into a smooth consistency and apply with a Q-tip. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water to ensure faster growth rate.
