We have been told numerous times on how breakfast is the most important meal of our day. Still, how many of us are sticking to the healthy regime? Well, the majority of the population (myself included) have probably skipped our breakfast way too often, perhaps more than we should and willing to admit. Yup, it is a no-brainer that having the privilege to spend a few minutes to flip through pages for the latest news with a plate of toast on our table is indeed the epitome of a good breakfast. But then again, it is easy to prepare one when we are blessed with all the time in the world. The real hassle usually comes on the hustling mornings, when we would much rather hit the snooze button for another round of hallucination than to think

A bowl of oats a day can keep the doctor away. It is a great source of nutritional benefits that you can reap, from carbs to multiple vowels of vitamins to ensure you stay healthy and energetic all day. Oh, most importantly, it is easy to fix and can help you shed the unnecessary baggage on your waist too. Win!




Preparing one will only take less than 5 minutes, tops! All you need is just a fruit blender and a fruit of your choice. And, if you are in a rush, you can just chug all the vitamins, nutrients and potassium down while you are on the go. Convenient, right?


3. Cereal


Come on, how can anyone say no to cereal? Preparing it is just as easy as pouring a warm milk into a bowl and voila breakfast is served! We love the fact that it is healthy, incredibly tasty and has a surprise at the bottom of the box! *wink*


4. Eggs


Eggs are cheap, a good source of protein and packed with high amino acids. In which are more than enough to power you through the day. Hmm...and there are so many ways to prepare it too! Poached eggs, scrambled eggs, the-throw-it-inside a microwave egg and so many more!

Energy bars are like a fresh set of batteries for us. It contains fat, protein and carbs, three main ingredients that we need for a quick power boost. Plus side is that they usually come in small sizes, making them easy to fit into our pockets or bags.

P/S: Not all the food at the mamak stall is doomed to make you fat and unhealthy. Avoid the oily and fried side of the menu, opt for something like Naan instead, which contains only 100 calories.
